At the first place topical anesthetic is applied, which takes approximately 30 minutes to become fully effective. Then Botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) is injected into the skin, which in turn enters the sweat glands to block nerve impulses, mainly responsible for sweat production. One of the advantageous aspects of this treatment is that sensation of touch is not at all hampered. The solution takes around 10 to 15 minutes to reach the sweat glands.

The treatment lasts for at least 5 to 8 months. Patients facing mild sweating can undergo the treatment in spring to survive through warm summer months, whereas patients experiencing more severe condition have to undertake the treatment at least two times every year.

Before injecting the Botox solution, we take a time of half an hour or more, so that the topical anesthetic gets properly effective.

The physicians who treat on the patients are all well qualified, certified to prescribe Botox, and have been in the domain for more than a decade now.
